UK adopts SMS move
ORS9 – CAA Decision No.38: CAA Decision to adopt AMC & GM for UK Reg (EU) No. 1321/2014 (UK Continuing Airworthiness) Regulation pursuant to Article 76 UK Reg (EU) 2018/1139
In support of Statutory Instrument (SI) 2023 No 588, The Aviation Safety (Amendment) Regulations 2023, laid before Parliament on 30 May 2023, this Decision amends Acceptable Means of Compliance (AMC) and Guidance Material (GM) to Annex I (Part M), Annex II (Part 145), Annex III (Part 66), Annex Vc (Part CAMO and Annex Vd (Part CAO) of UK Regulation (EU) 1321/2014 as regards the introduction of safety management systems (SMS) in maintenance organisations and effective occurrence reporting which will come into force on 1st July 2024.
