Report on Boeing 737 MAX Flight Control System

IFA welcomes the report on the “Boeing 737 MAX Flight Control System” published on 11 October 2019 and submitted to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).  We congratulate the multi-national Joint Authorities Technical Review (JATR) team on the detailed and professional consideration of the technical issues related to the 737 MAX certification arising from recent accidents.  The report’s observations, findings, and recommendations are well considered, pertinent and deserve timely attention

While the fingers are now pointing at Boeing and the FAA, IFA hopes other aircraft companies and airworthiness regulators will also read the report and find their own lessons for improvement.
