Jonas is an aviation professional with extensive experience in continuing airworthiness management, design, and maintenance. He leads the Technical Services Structures team at Jet2, supporting the continuing airworthiness, structural integrity and reliability of a large and growing fleet of Airbus and Boeing aircraft. Jonas plays an active role in developing continuing structural integrity programmes through collaboration between operators and design approval holders. He has also supported the acceptance and delivery of Jet2's Airbus A321neo aircraft, helping ensure a smooth transition into service.
Before joining Jet2, Jonas held a range of technical roles at Boeing, where he developed structural inspection, repair, and modification data for operators around the world. He began his career as an aircraft mechanic with MTU Aero Engines, gaining practical experience that continues to shape his approach to engineering and aviation safety.
Jonas holds an MSc in Airworthiness from Cranfield University, where he was awarded the Course Director's Prizes for Best Thesis and Best Overall Student. He is a Member of the Royal Aeronautical Society and a Professional Member of IFA, having served as a Board Member since 2022.
Jonas is passionate about promoting airworthiness, aviation safety, and the sharing of knowledge across the global aviation community. Through his involvement with IFA, he supports collaboration between industry, academia, and regulators to help advance safe and sustainable aviation.
