John Scale – General Manager, ELMS Aviation
John is the General Manager at ELMS Aviation, a leading provider of personnel competence and compliance software for aviation.
John’s aviation journey started back in 2003 when he joined Flybe – a regional UK-based air carrier. Starting out in the commercial team manging a route portfolio to maximise the revenue per seat, he then had the opportunity to move around the business where he was appointed to roles within the MRO (lean projects along with a Compliance and Safety focus), Operations (Crew Ops Planning), and eventually back to the commercial team as Head of Route Performance. Along this journey John had the opportunity to get involved in several operational projects, leading the final project running a four aircraft ACMI operation out of Brussels.
Joining software startup ELMS Aviation back in 2015, where he was presented with an opportunity to bring his aviation experience to a new technology business, John has a passion for bringing technological solutions to market to deliver operational efficiency and have a lasting positive impact on safety and human performance.
