This prestigious award is nominated by the IFA members and honours the work of Sir Frank Whittle, father of the jet engine. It recognises an outstanding contribution to airworthiness.
In recognition of Cengiz’s contribution to education, sharing knowledge and international technical working groups, International Federation of Airworthiness (IFA) wishes to honour his determination, enthusiasm and professionalism. Inspiring students and safety practitioners, Cengiz now takes on operational challenges at a time of great change.
As Technical Director of IFA, for over 12-years, Cengiz ensured that the federation was well represented and recognised by regulators, manufacturers, maintainers and aircraft operators. His influence and understanding of the issues of engineering and aircraft maintenance has helped shape policy and practice across a wide range of national and international activities.
