Frank C. Fickeisen 1926-2020
Frank, one of our longstanding supporters has passed away.
Frank became involved with IFA in 1996, joining the Technical Committee, an excellent platform for passing on his extensive aviation knowledge and expertise. Selflessly he supported IFA over 2 decades, attending many meetings and events across the globe, this included in 1997 attending and contributing on IFA’s behalf to FAA meetings on the subject of Transport Fuel Flammability and a memorable workshop presentation at the 2004 IFA/FSF Moscow conference where he decorated the room with an amazing chart showing all the current Commercial Aviation Safety Initiatives, those who attended were astounded by the detail and complexity and this led to a enthralled audience and overrun session.
It was a pleasure to have met and worked with Frank and all at IFA offer their condolences to Margaret and his family. His contribution to airworthiness and IFA will always be remembered.
