With the 2025 European ATM Master Plan now in implementation, Europe has a unique opportunity to accelerate the modernisation of ATM – turning innovation into large-scale operational deployment, while continuing to feed the SESAR innovation pipeline with the new technologies and operational concepts that will shape the next generation of ATM.
As discussions on the next Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF, 2028–2034) take shape, the decisions Europe takes now will determine its future technological leadership, its ability to meet climate targets and its strategic autonomy in aviation.
At stake is far more than technological progress. ATM is a strategic critical infrastructure that underpins Europe’s connectivity, competitiveness and technological sovereignty.
The SESAR JU Annual Conference 2026 will bring together policymakers, aviation leaders, industry and research stakeholders to discuss how Europe can accelerate innovation, strengthen deployment and ensure the continued success of the SESAR public-private-partnership.
