This conference will address the current and future challenges facing the international aircraft design community. The aviation industry’s net-zero carbon emissions target will require radical changes to airframe, propulsion and fuel technologies, including new structural architectures, advances in materials, design and analysis processes, and manufacturing methods. These technologies must be integrated to create new aircraft which are reliable and efficient to operate. In addition, each phase of design, certification, through to manufacture will need to be both time- and cost-competitive compared to preceding aircraft programmes.
