MRO in the ‘New Normal’

A look at the MRO industry before, during and after the CV19 pandemic.

A view on the MRO industry before, during and post pandemic from a person who has worked in the aviation environment worldwide and at many levels for nearly 50 years.

Due to the large scope of the subject, the presentation will focus on the UK MRO industry, but include external influences where applicable.

Speaker Details

Mike Ainsworth, FRAeS, IEng

Mike Ainsworth can be described as a ‘total aviation person’. Being third generation in aviation in his family, in his 49th year in aviation and having three sons in the industry underlines this description. Mike started with Monarch Aircraft Engineering as an Apprentice and progressed to being a multi-type rated Part 66 licenced engineer before becoming a manager. Mike has worked worldwide in commercial, cargo, business and MRO environments at Senior Management Level for over 30 years. He has held Accountable Manager and Nominated Post Holder positions with a number of organisations and is currently Head of Quality with Norse Atlantic Airways. Mike is an IEng and FRAes.
