IFA CLINIC : Safety Management Clinic
Join us for the first of a series of “clinics” to bring together practitioners with reputable experts in their field, so that the aviation community can learn from each other.
This online event is an opportunity to ask a live expert YOUR questions on SMS.
What’s on offer?
The implementation of Safety Management Systems (SMS) for the Maintenance Organisations is well underway. For example, EASA is expecting organisations to correct findings for non-compliance related to Part-145 SMS requirements before the 2 December 2024, at the latest.
The International Federation of Airworthiness (IFA) has long promoted SMS. However, IFA recognises that the transition to SMS is not simple and has to be tailored to a huge variety of different organisation’s needs.
What’s in it for you?
This new initiative offers direct access to an industry expert to deal with YOUR specific practical questions. To grow we need to learn from each other. In these on-line clinics we can quickly review and communicate answers to common problems.
The on-line clinics will focus on your questions from your operational experience. Your identity and company details will remain confidential and will not be disclosed during the online event.
Who is the Expert?
First up will be leading expert Simon Roberts (Picture). He is a former Airworthiness Surveyor, Regional Manger and SMS lead for the UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA). Working with industry and the authorities, Simon has decades of experience developing SMS guidance material, webinars, and training courses.
