Aviation Cybersecurity: Harmonization on Guidance & Certification
21st April, 2021 @ 6:00 pm – 7:15 pm
Join RTCA and EUROCAE as we discuss the landscape of current guidance and certification work being done throughout the cybersecurity community – from industry to regulators. We’ll discuss how the aviation standards are harmonized among organizations both in the US and abroad and what these important documents are trying to accomplish. An inside look at upcoming document updates will be shared during this session to prepare you for what’s ahead. The session, moderated by Dave Pierce of GE Aviation, includes panelists Varun Khanna of FAA, Cyrille Rosay of EASA, Stefan Schwindt of GE Aviation, Siobvan Nyikos of Boeing, and Mitchell Trope of Garmin. Join us for an interactive Q&A session with the panelists. The session will be followed by a Tech Talk with TSA. The COVID pandemic forced all organizations across the globe to assess priorities, challenges and opportunities. TSA addressed new security challenges with technology and collaborative solutions and anticipates multiple applications beyond pandemic response. Victoria Newhouse, Deputy Assistant Administrator for the TSA Office of Security Policy and Industry Engagement, discusses how TSA worked with domestically and internationally with airports, airlines, and aviation stakeholders around the world to strengthen the aviation security ecosystem and how the pandemic has changed future priorities.
