Ms Allen, Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (Student), LIAT (1974) Ltd was awarded the 2016 Scholarship Award. Nominated by Capt. Malcolm Chan-a-Sue, Chief Executive Officer of the Art Williams & Harry Wendt Aeronautical Engineering School.

This scholarship will expand my knowledge and give me an even greater understanding of Airworthiness as it plays a major role in the aviation industry. Ms Allen used the Scholarship to attend the Cranfield University Course ‘Airworthiness Fundamentals’ in September 2016. The course addresses the key aspects of design, construction, maintenance and operation of aircraft across the wide spectrum of technologies met in aerospace. It features all aspects of airworthiness from the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) standards to the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)
