DISTRACTIONS – Managing and mitigating options for everyone in the aviation system
Following a number of discussions and interaction with the Offshore Helicopter Safety Leadership Group, there was agreement that one of the biggest risks existing in the aviation sector as a whole today is the ability to be distracted. Whether flight crew, engineer, ground or office staff, the pressures of work and personal life are there for all and this may well lead to an undesirable outcome.
The UK CAA with the help of colleagues in FS and FO’s, has produced an infographic to support industry in highlighting the risks and mitigations an individual might take to avoid undesirable events. Please share with your colleagues, employees and pass onto others within the aviation maintenance community.
