Demonstration aligns with strategic MRO agreement as Embraer seeks first Middle East order for military transport
The Embraer KC-390 Millennium completed its first visit to the AMMROC facility in Al Ain, advancing the company’s collaboration efforts in the United Arab Emirates.
This visit follows a Memorandum of Understanding signed at the Dubai Airshow, where Embraer and AMMROC agreed to cooperate on Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) services for the KC-390 platform.
Embraer’s presence at AMMROC is intended to support local operators and strengthen the company’s bid to secure a first KC-390 order in the Middle East.
The company has initiated discussions with several regional prospects, including Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE, as part of a broader campaign to expand the KC-390’s customer base.
“We are committed to contributing to the UAE’s aerospace ecosystem and supporting the operational needs of our partners,” said Mahmood Alhameli, CEO of Abu Dhabi Aviation Group.
“This cooperation positions AMMROC as a key MRO hub for advanced military platforms in the region,” added Jasem Al Marzouqi, CEO of AMMROC.
The KC-390’s demonstration at a leading UAE maintenance facility comes as regional defense customers seek modern airlift solutions and local sustainment capability.
