2025 – Abenazer Tasissa

The International Federation of Airworthiness (IFA) and Cranfield University are happy to announce the main award winner of the inaugural IFA/Cranfield John Saull scholarship for Airworthiness for 2025. The winner has been chosen from a group of excellent international entrants.

Abenazer is from Ethiopia, and has been in the aviation industry for over eight years, serving in various technical departments. He currently work as a Compliance Monitoring Auditor, a role that has broadened his understanding of airworthiness, quality, and safety.

NOTE: This award is dedicated to John Saull who led the IFA as its Executive Director for over 20 years. He was Chair of the Cranfield University Alumni for many years and has had a lasting legacy as an able an enthusiastic international aviation leader. The IFA, Cranfield University and John’s family have collaborated to provide this new annual scholarship.
