EASA publishes new revision of Easy Access Rules for Additional Airworthiness Specifications (Regulation (EU) 2015/640)

The European Union Aviation Safety Agency has published Revision from October 2025 of the Easy Access Rules for Additional Airworthiness Specifications (Regulation (EU) 2015/640).
This Revision incorporates new requirements adopted by Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2024/2954 and EASA ED Decision 2024/010/R amending CS-26 .The following topics are addressed:

  • Installation of helicopter crash-resistant fuel system mandate,
  • Provision for the design approval holders to make available information on cargo compart ment fire protection capabilities
  • Runway overrun awareness and alerting systems applicability date postponement
  • Some exemptions from the conversion of Class D compartments provisions
  • Clarification of existing requirements, including some requirements related to ageing aeroplane structures

Revision from October 2025 of the Easy Access Rules for Additional Airworthiness Specifications (Regulation (EU) 2015/640)  is available in pdf and in XML (machine-readable) format.
