IFA Summer Scholarship awarded to Solomon Obadimu
IFA is pleased to announce the summer 2021 IFA Scholarship has been awarded to Solomon Obadimu. Solomon is currently studying for a PhD in Aeronautical Engineering under the supervision of Dr K.I. Kourousis at the University of Limerick, Ireland, having previously studied in the United Kingdom and China. He is a licensed aircraft maintenance engineer, and his research interests include additive manufacturing and airworthiness.
Cranfield University generously donated a place on their Airworthiness Fundamentals course, and Solomon will attend in September. He is delighted to have been selected and said, ‘My first-hand experience of working on life aircraft, including coordinating maintenance activities, exposed me to the importance of aircraft continuing airworthiness and the role aircraft maintenance activities play in airworthiness. Being able to attend the course will be an invaluable experience for me, giving me the chance to further advance my skills and solidify my interests in Continuing Airworthiness Management.’
We look forward to hearing more from Solomon upon completion of the course.
