EASA Maintenance Engineers Skills & Competencies Erosion Survey

As part of the EASA RAMP Safety week events the Flight Standards team have launched a survey to complement the CAMO session, please complete and pass the link onto your colleagues.

The onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in early 2020 has created an unprecedented situation for the aviation industry. With significant reduction in air traffic, most aviation professionals are no longer able to perform their normal tasks and maintenance engineers are no exception. In addition, training may not be taking place at the pace required to keep aviation professionals current and may not be effectively trained in the updated systems and procedures upon their return to work. Together, this creates a reduction in the skills and knowledge of aviation professionals, and with it associated safety risks.

Answering this questionnaire, specifically addressed to maintenance engineers, will help EASA to understand the extension of the problem and to tackle it with the most appropriated measures together with all interested parties. The questionnaire has no more than 10 questions and should not take more than 10 minutes of your time.
Many thanks in advance for your participation.

The survey is anonymous.
