Planning Engineer (Line Maintenance)

What You’ll Do

  • Responsible for task card labour requirement standards / project data bank upkeep, analysis and reporting
  • Responsible for preparation of planned work in Line Maintenance Overseas customer group
  • Maintain a customer-focused approach towards the achievement of the department objectives.
  • Train staff for adequate competence fit as aircraft maintenance planners.
  • Participate in various cross-department improvement projects.
  • Maintain a safe working environment.
  • Pre-plan and assess all work inputs in respect of manpower, time, material requirements, tooling and technical information, and make appropriate arrangements to accommodate such work inputs
  • Prepare operational schedules and work packages, and coordinate with customers on all work inputs and arrangement
  • Evaluate the capacity dashboard and ensure the planned tasks are allocated in the appropriate slots at a reasonable capacity level
  • Consolidate maintenance data of accomplished projects for technical records archiving, invoicing and technical analysis
  • Handle customer inquiries and participate in price negotiation with customers
  • Work with different third parties’ customers on arrangements for different type of checks and major maintenance tasks
  • Establish and maintain good business relationship with customers

What You Need

1. Technical and other Relevant Experience

  • A recognized degree in Production and Industrial Engineering or related disciplines
  • A HKAR-66 B1/B2 Licence will be an advantage
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in aircraft maintenance or production planning

2. Qualifications and other Relevant Knowledge

  • A recognized degree in Production and Industrial Engineering or related disciplines
  • Sound business acumen and strong project management skills
  • Strong people skills with demonstrated negotiation ability
  • Good PC knowledge and skills
  • Excellent command of English, both spoken and written
